Briana Neel

Briana Neal, BSN, RN, CCRN, is currently a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Baptist Floyd Hospital.  In addition, Briana spends time in the Intensive Care Unit as she seeks to continue her education and experience in all sectors of her field. Illustration of such commitment is seen through her participation in programs such as the young emerging leaders, and the diversity, inclusion, and equity committee, functioning as a key member in pushing forward policy and recommendations to better the hospital and patient care. She is a current graduate student in the Doctoral of Nursing Family Practice Program at The University of Louisville, where she serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant.

Before entering the nursing field, Ms. Neal starred as a 4-year college basketball player, where she attended Volunteer State Community College and Cumberland University, where she graduated with her bachelor of science in Athletic Training. Building on her knowledge and skillsets, Ms. Neal completed her bachelor of nursing via an accelerated program at Bellarmine University. 

Ms. Neal currently serves on the boards of Crossroads Agape, Inc and mentors, and advocates for the uplift and empowerment of the youth and women, specifically women of minority background. She has a passion for being a voice for the voiceless and creating tangible and action-oriented programming to increase awareness and knowledge in medicine for the Black Community.

Ms. Neal is a Memphis native with roots in Dallas Tx, and Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
